Continuing Education Details
Continuing Education Credits The CEA® course is accredited by many state insurance depart-ments for 15 hours continuing ed credits for life insurance licensees (a few states allow less credits). See attached list of states which approve continuing ed, or contact ashley@nafep.com to inquire about your state. Also, the course material is accepted by and meets the requirements of the CFP™ Board for 15 hours of continuing ed for CFP™ certificants. Successful com-pletion of the CEA® exam is required in order to receive continuing ed credits.

Costs The CEA® price covers the study material, exam and certification process, and maintains the NAFEP membership status for one year. Also included are the items listed in the Other Benefits and Materials text box to the left. In each subsequent year the CEA® must pay $90 dues. Annual dues cover the cost of NAFEP professional mailings, new client tools and materials, keeping CEAs posted on important new information in the estate planning field, NAFEP monitoring of the status of the CEAs' underlying licenses, and the cost of maintaining active CEA® status.

$495 - Basic CEA® costs, ships with materials listed Below. Shipping costs are covered.
$65 - Additional for either the CFP™ or the State life insurance continuing ed.
$95 - Additional for BOTH CFP™ and State life insurance continuing ed.

State Life Insurance Continuing Education Credits
NAFEP's Continuing Education program is a new option we are offering to CEA® candidates. Below is a list of the states in which NAFEP intends to receive authorization for CE credits in the near future. Please be aware, if you are under a deadline, and need CE credits immediately and your state has not yet approved our program, you may want to consider a different CE provider.
